# New DMARC record history

The **DMARC record history** has been redesigned to show what changed in each version of your record at a glance, with the differences **highlighted**, validation issues, and switches to or from hosted DMARC.

DMARCwise now also queries **each of your domain's authoritative nameservers directly**, instead of going through a public DNS resolver that only returns one answer.

Open **DNS details** on any record to see what each nameserver responded with over time. When nameservers **disagree** on the record, for example when a secondary DNS server is out of sync, the differences are highlighted so you can quickly locate the problem.

We've also changed how hosted DMARC updates are recorded: instead of appearing in the history as soon as you save them, they now appear only once they are **visible in DNS**, so the history always reflects what your domain publishes.
