This guide will help you set up SAML SSO to log in to the DMARCwise platform through the Okta Identity Provider.
Supported features and limitations
The Okta integration currently supports:
- Service Provider-initiated Single Sign-On.
- Just-In-Time provisioning.
The integration does not support:
- Identity Provider-initiated Single Sign-On.
- Single Logout (SLO).
If you follow this guide and use the DMARCwise app from the Okta app catalog, Okta users will be linked to DMARCwise accounts with their unique Okta user ID. This means that the linked accounts will survive Okta username and email changes.
For more information about SAML SSO in DMARCwise, consult the SSO documentation page.
Setup instructions
To set up SAML SSO with Okta as an Identity Provider in DMARCwise, follow these instructions:
- Open your Okta admin console.
- Navigate to Applications → Applications
- Click on Browse App Catalog in the top bar.
- Type DMARCwise in the search box and choose the corresponding app from the search results.
- Click Add Integration in the top right corner.
- At some point, you’ll be asked to enter an Organization ID. You can find the organization ID in the URL of the DMARCwise dashboard. For example, if your dashboard home URL is
https://dmarcwise.io/@1234/domains
, use1234
as the organization ID. - When you’re provided with a Metadata URL, copy it in your clipboard as you’ll need it shortly.
Now you have to open the SSO settings page of your DMARCwise account to enable SSO.
In the SSO settings page, click Configure.
Click Next.
Paste the URL you copied earlier in the Metadata URL field.
Click Enable SSO to save the configuration and enable SSO.
Finally, in Okta assign people or groups that you want to authorize to sign in to DMARCwise.
